Fernando would live to hear from all of his fans in Spain!
The workshops a 5 1/2 hour event that gives local juniors a chance to learn about preparing for college tennis, give them an opportunity to work out with the players and play doubles in a Pro-Am style format with the team.
Jason Cole and Fernando Belmar get a chance to play doubles against Aquinas and Jason Cole will also play singles against an aquinas player.
This is a very popular event each year and helps raise funds for the Aquinas Men’s program. South Shore Racquet Club out of St. Joseph, MI has also come up for the event, starting with a Junior Travel Match last night with our junior players.
The scheduled for today will be:
12:00 -1:00 PM: Lunch with Coach Hendrick and the team. The players will learn about what it takes to play college sports and the differences between the divisions in terms of expectations
1:30 – 3:30 PM: On court drilling with the Aquinas team
3:30 – 5:30 PM: LIVE FEED of GTR/Aquinas matches and players will also co
The LIVE MATCH play will begin at 3:30 PM today (Saturday, November 15). This is a test run for future live events, so we may experience some challenges, but it seemed to work very well when we tested it yesterday.
If for some reason the LIVE FEED gets interrupted, we will re establish the feed and you can get all updates on this page.
